Welcome to Riding Springs Academy! If you're receiving this your child, _______, has been accepted into our prestigious school. Not only are we the number one in the world, but we're also giving your children the education of a lifetime. Not to mention a large chance at achieving their goals with horses, and in life.
We're specially equipped for even the most pretentious horses and riders. Along with many other things. Wrather you choose to board your child, or if they're just coming for the classes and going home, they will be treated with the utmost respect. As we expect them to treat our teachers and staff members.
Best regards, Mrs. Jackson

About our school, and rules.

Our farm is lovely, huge grassy pastures with hundreds of horses, open fields, spacious stalls for the beloved horses. Only our top riders will get private riding lessons, other then that we have group lessons consisting of between three to six people. No one will be put up against, or told to act like a student of higher experience, age or anything of the sort.

Dorms: Dorms are usually suited for more the one person, usually we have two people in each room. This room consists of: Two twin beds, two chester drawers and a nightstand in between them. The students are allowed to decorate the rooms with whatever they like, as long as their roommate agrees with it. Be sure to pack: Sheets, pillows, comforters, and whatever else you might need for your dorm.

Other activities! We've got everything from Badminton to Hocky. Our School wants your child to be happy, regardless the sport.

Rules.

Code:

1. Respect yourself, the teacher & others
·  Show respect for the teacher, yourself and others at all times.
·  Respect others’ property.  Avoid touching or writing on anything that does not belong to you (including desks, textbooks, teacher’s belongings, walls, chalkboard, etc.). Don't expect that others will clean-up your messes. Please pick-up after yourself.
·  Respect yourself and the rest of us by using appropriate language and wearing appropriate clothing.

2. Put forth your best effort at all times
·  Always do your own best work.
·  Put learning ahead of getting good grades.
·  Put quality ahead of just getting it done.

3. Be prepared for class each day
·    Come prepared with all materials necessary:
§  An organized class binder containing all necessary materials and handouts
§  Looseleaf paper, pens (blue or black), and pencils
§  A red or purple pen for grading in class or underlining important elements in note taking
§  Highlighters for emphasizing important text
§  A planner to help keep you organized - the most successful students are organized.

4. Follow directions when given
·    When directions are given, do your best to follow them the first time.  If you are confused or have questions, ask.  I would rather have you stop class to clarify than be off task while everyone else is working.

5.Pay attention, participate and ask questions
·    Engage in what is going on in the classroom.  If you have a question, ask it!  Otherwise, I might not know until the test that you didn’t understand something.  There are no stupid questions, and chances are, if you are wondering about it, someone else in the class is to.  Be proactive about your learning and don’t be afraid to ask for help.  If you feel most comfortable waiting until after class, that is okay, too, but do keep communication open between us.

6 Preserve a positive learning environment
·  Student actions that interfere with teaching or learning in the classroom will NOT be tolerated.
·  Use class time to learn history/government.  Please do not spend your time grooming, sleeping, talking, writing notes, playing cards, listening to you Ipod, text-messaging friends, or doing work for other classes.
·  Minimize classroom interruptions by arriving to class on time and not leaving the classroom during the hour.

7 Pregnancies
·  If we find out a student is pregnant they will be expelled.
·  If the father of the child goes to school here, he will be expelled as well.

Best of luck everyone! Have fun on campus!
(Make sure you link your characters in the first post. That way everyone knows who they are! Smile)

Life on the farm was always a joy to Ariana, though she'd always loved this school. However, she wasn't able to get in until this year. Her heart racing as they pulled into the huge farm/school. Looking up from her paper she smiled, the whole world making a difference for once with her. Life was working. Element, pawed in the large featherlite trailer, the weight of the horse shifting the aluminum trailer. Ariana sighed as she heard his high pitched nicker, meaning he was about tired of standing in that trailer. They'd been driving for fifteen hours straight anyways. Once the truck stopped outside the large barn Ariana took a deep breath, taking in the fact that she was going to finally have a chance at achieving her dream.
